Multiplier Media takes out international content marketing award

Multiplier Media was named a winner of a prestigious International Content Marketing Award in London last night, just one of only a few Australian organisations to take out a prize.

The 2019 International Content Marketing Awards received entries from more than 150 individual agencies spanning 23 countries.

Hosted annually by the Content Marketing Association, the awards showcase the world’s best content marketing campaigns, talent and expertise over the past 12 months.

“A tech startup up approached us with what most companies would consider the impossible brief,” said Multiplier Media General Manager Jon Cuthbert.

“The client had little online presence, and wanted to raise their media profile significantly in order to secure a meeting with one of the most important people in the global technology sector.”

Multiplier Media won Silver for the Best Use of Content Within Media Relations award ahead of three other finalists.

“As a result of our content marketing campaign, the tech business appears in the top Google news search results and the founder is now approached by the media for comment on a range of industry stories,” said Mr Cuthbert.

The Best Use of Content Within Media Relations category is judged on the success of an imaginative and creative content campaign in generating media coverage and delivering measurable business outcomes.

“We merge the worlds of PR, journalism and digital marketing to create content that not only has global reach, but lives online forever, establishing digital pathways back to our clients’ websites,” said Mr Cuthbert.

Multiplier Media’s award-winning content campaign was developed for an Australian technology startup seeking to grow its profile on the global stage.

The campaign consisted of ghostwritten thought leadership pieces, published on leading business sites including Entrepreneur APAC, as well as an ongoing public relations campaign that generated media coverage in both Australian and international publications.

“Taking out an international award for content marketing is a huge achievement for an agency based out of Perth – we are absolutely thrilled.” said Mr Cuthbert.

Multiplier Media’s international award win follows several achievements in the past 12 months including being named finalist in the Mumbrella Publish Awards for Innovation in Media.

The company was also a finalist in the 2019 AC&E Awards for Best use of PR or Content, with two staff members placing as finalists in the Under30 Young Creative of the Year category.

The company’s Managing Partner Heidi Cuthbert was named a Business News WA’s 40under40 recipient, as well as named finalist in Business News Australia’s 2019 Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards earlier this year.
